Description
The Ruby Quilt is a piece of patchwork that can be bold and brassy with strong colours or soft and subtle in quiet colours. The quilt illustrated in the pattern has used the red square as the accent colour, then surrounded it by various shades of grey and black. You could select different colours for the centre square to make a funky multi coloured quilt. The quilt is made up of 6″ squares and half squares, making it quick to cut up and easy to sew together. Nothing better than a quilt that grows quickly. When all of the squares are sewn together, you end up with a perfect size single bed quilt. Follow Heidi’s instructions to enlarge the quilt to a queen size by adding borders on four sides. A little quilt design embroidered in the centre square will emphasize the square nicely.
