Description
The Olivia Quilt is a technique that has been taken from traditional nine patch methods. The squares in this quilt are cut on a much bigger scale than they usually are, giving you the opportunity to add an embroidered quilt design or even an applique in the large squares. To showcase the design, select the fabric combination of one solid colour and two groups with four fabrics in each. The sample quilt was made out one solid colour, four gingham’s and four spots.
Doona Cover – This pattern has been designed so it can be sewn on the overlocker and be converted into a doona cover. All of the raw edges of the fabrics are overcast and wont fray away. A loose backing sheet can be sewn around the sides to form the cover. Slip the doona inside and what you end up with is a is a magnificent pieced doona.
