Description
The Kirra Quilt is a cute little quilt or it can be a great starting point for what ever you would like to turn it into to. The beauty of a Quilt-As-You-Go quilt is that you can build on it. As is, it makes a lovely playmat for a baby or a knee rug for watching tv in the Winter. By doubling the length it becomes a single bed quilt. Adding to the length as well as the width, you have turned it into a queen or king size. Adding borders is a cinch with this method. Simply make up and quilt the borders, then sew them on using the same sashing technique as the blocks. You could also just sew up the blocks and add them to a sampler quilt with other traditional blocks. As stated before, it is only your imagination holding you back. Oh and a little bit of sewing!!
